MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Margaret (Martin) Abeid, 66 formerly of Ludlow, MA passed away peacefully on September 9, 2013. Margaret was born in Springfield, MA to the late Lawrence and Marie (Quinlan) Martin. She grew up in Ludlow where she was a Communicant of St. John the Baptist Parish, and a graduate of its parochial school. She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1964, before working at the Aetna Insurance Company in Springfield. Following her marriage in 1968, she lived in Connecticut; New Jersey; Ludlow and Springfield, MA; and Northern California, before moving to Minnesota where she was under the care of her daughter. She leaves her husband of 45 years, Michael Abeid, and her children, who were her greatest joy: N. Michael and his wife Nanette of Eastham, MA; Maryanne and her partner Betsy Olson of Robbinsdale, MN; Lawrence and his wife Kim of Wilton, CA; Christine and her husband Randal Zierden, and Brian and his wife Andrea all of Elk Grove, CA. She also leaves nine grandchildren: Samantha, Madeline, Jack, Dhillon, Nathan, Summer, Luke, Sydney, and Andrew. She will be greatly missed by her three brothers: James and Richard Martin (Karen) of Ludlow, and Michael (Eliseth) of North Hatfield; two sisters: Patricia of Belchertown, and Ann Marie and her friend Robert Gorman of Ludlow; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Margaret was a wonderful mother who selflessly devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. They miss her very much. Funeral services and interment are taking place in Elk Grove, CA.
