Leonard W. Zapasnik 55 of Springfield died suddenly Wednesday June 26, 2013 at home. Born in Massachusetts June 18, 1958 son of the late Chester and Stephanie (Strybuc) Zapasnik. He had grown up in Seekonk, MA and was educated in local schools. He was self employed. A Communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Springfield, he was an avid sports fan, and loved to swim. As a weightlifter, he was the 1981 New England Strongman. He was a huge fan of the New England Patriots. He is survived by his life partner Paula Circosta, sadly he was predeceased by his brothers Chester Zapasnik Jr. and Stephen Zapasnik. He is survived by many cousins, extended family members and friends in Seekonk and Springfield. he will be greatly missed by his beloved pets Gerry and Harry.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be Monday July 1, 2013 with a family and friends gathering at 9:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow to be followed by an 11 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Patrick’s Church Allen St. Springfield. Rites of Committal will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
