Leo R. Dominique

Leo R. Dominique, 86 of Ludlow passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015. Born in Springfield, MA on November 19, 1929, he was the son of the late Leo and Rose (Caskie) Dominique. Educated in local schools he worked for many years at Alamac Mills in Indian Orchard and Utility Manufacturing in Wilbraham. Leo was a communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church and most recently St. Elizabeths Parish in Ludlow.

Leo enjoyed playing cards on Saturday nights with his brother and sisters; trips to Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun and the beach. He was keenly interested in and followed the work and activity of the U.S. Senate on C-Span.

Leos family would like to thank the staff of Wingate at Wilbraham and the ICU staff at Baystate Medical Center for the care they provided to him.

Leo is survived by a son Donald Dominique and his wife Sandra of Chicopee, MA; three daughters Suzanne Roy and her husband Ronald of FL; Lou Anne Birch and her husband Arthur and JoAnne Calento and her husband Richard, all of Ludlow; a brother Francis Dominique and two sisters Geraldine Ayers and Diane Pease, all of Ludlow as well as his longtime friend Ann Condon of Ludlow. He also leaves 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Sadly he was predeceased by his wife Esther (LaFramboise) Dominique and a sister Bernice Batista.
