Laurent C. Brodeur

In loving memory of Laurent C. Brodeur, who sailed his ship home on December 8, 2013.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, December 21 at First Church in Ludlow, 859 Center St. Ludlow, MA .

Laurent was born on September 11, 1938 in, Ludlow, Ma. He graduated from Ludlow High School in 1956 and attended AIC. He loved life and loved adventure, whether it was racing go karts at Lashaway Speedway, working as Pit Crew at Riverside Speedway, Skiing, Hiking, or Sailing. Retiring from Friendly Ice Cream after 35 years, Laurent pursued his passion of sailing, sold his home, and cruised many times from Mystic, CT through the Atlantic Intercostal Waterway to Florida. His adventures also included sailing to Bermuda and Cuba. He later traveled across the United States by RV and eventually settled in Boca Raton, FL. He loved his family, friends, the outdoors, music and the sea. He loved to laugh and loved people.

Laurent is survived by his wife, Judith Wilcox, of Boca Raton, FL, three children and their spouses, Laurie and Crane Allen of CT, Cherie and Bill Donnelly of TX , Denise and Gary Pashko of MA. Three step children and their spouses, Ed and Barbara Wilcox of FL , Kathleen Reiss of CA, and Chris and Wendy Wilcox of MA. Grandfather of 14, Elizabeth, Carolyn, Christopher, Rachael, Anne, Maggie, Emmett, Steven, Jessica, Derek, Sara, Adam, Ryan, and Lauren. Great-grandfather of 3, Kaitlin, Raymond, and Jackson Laurent. Brother of Paul Wallace-Brodeur and sister of Jackie Brodeur.
