Kathleen L. (Casagrande) Leonard 56 of Ludlow died Thursday, December 6, 2012, at home. Born in Ludllow, June 25, 1956, daughter of Maryetta (Alexander) Casagrande and the late Reno J. Casagrande who died November 24, 2012. Educated in local schools she was a 1974 graduate of Ludlow High School and a 1977 graduate of Leominister Hospital School of Nursing. She had worked at Ludlow Hospital for many years, and most recently worked for Willamansett Nursing Home. She was a Communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church now St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Community. She is survived by her loving daughters, Kaitlyn Leonard of Ludlow and Meagan Leonard of Springfield. Her mother Maryetta Casagrande of Ludlow, a sister Dolores Nacewicz and her husband Edward of Agawam, and extended family members and friends, including the boys Jasper, Chico and Simba. Funeral services celebrating her life will be Friday, December 14, 2012, at 11 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow Msgr. Homer P. Gosselin will preside.

Meagan, Kaitlyn, Mrs. Casagrande and family. We are so sorry for your loss. Kathy was a dear friend, we were bestest for the last 40 years. So glad we had spoke the day before her passing, She was a wonderful, loving, gentle person. I'am a better person because of her.
