Kathleen F. “Kay” (Babbin) Martin, 90 of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Friday, June 8, 2018. Born in Long Pond, ME on January 25, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Frances (Charron) Babbin. She was a graduate of Greenville High School and Husson Business School. Kay cherished working along side her father in the office at Atlas Plywood Sawmill, Greenville, ME. She married Gordon, the love of her life, in 1954, moved to Ludlow, MA and devoted her life to loving and caring for her family, being a genuine friend to all. Kay had many loves; dancing, fishing, sports, eating, talking-her Gift was talking, but Heaven was “Camp”-located on the shores of Moosehead Lake, ME.
She is survived by her children Robert Martin (Rose Blackman) of Ludlow, Maureen Preston (William) of Scarborough, ME, John Everett Martin of Somerville, MA and Darin Martin (Mary Warren) of Maui, HI. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren Everett and Amelia Martin. Sadly, she was predeceased by her husband of 63 years Gordon Martin in December, 2017 , her son Michael Martin in 2004 and her brother Roland Babbin in March of this year.
We are so sorry for your loss. Both of your parents were such great neighbors and friends to my parents as well as our whole family. I hope that the good memories you have will sustain you through this time. They were great people. I am sure my parents are enjoying a backyard converstion with them at this very moment. Your family is in our prayers.

We loved Kay and will always have all the great memories (learning how to play poker, corned beef dinners or just great conversation) in our hearts. I believe Gordy welcomed her with open arms and they are enjoying their everlasting dance. Boy how Kay loved to dance! You are all in our thoughts & prayers.
Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 5:00 PM until the time of the service.
Funeral services for Kathleen will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 6:30 PM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA.
Together, Kay and Gordon will be laid to rest Friday, June 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Greenville Cemetery, Greenville, ME.
Donations in Kay’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Massachusetts, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
