Kathleen C. (McGreevy) Ashley

Kathleen C. (McGreevy) Ashley, 91, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024. Daughter of the late Bernard and Nora (Dowd) McGreevy, she was born in Somers. CT on August 1, 1933. Kathleen leaves behind a legacy of love and selflessness that will live on forever. Her children and grandchildren were the focus of her life. Soft spoken and gentle, she spent her life putting others before herself. She had a heart as big as the world and would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need,

Kathleen is survived by her children Anne Ashley, George Ashley, Thomas Ashley and Matthew Ashley and his wife Holly. She also leaves her six grandchildren Casey, Eddie, Kyle, Brett, Benjamin and Daniel, as well as her great-granddaughter Camilla. Sadly, Kathleen was predeceased by her husband George Ashley in 2007; her brothers Bernard and Thomas McGreevy and her sister Lucina Chrostowsky.

Funeral services for Kathleen will be Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 10:15 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Parker St, Springfield, MA. Burial will at 2:00 PM in the Massachusetts Veteran’s memorial Cemetery, Main St., Agawam, MA. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
