Judith C. (Chouinard) Bennett, 71, a Ludlow native, lost her hard fought battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. In addition to her parents, Judy was also predeceased by her brother Alfred Chouinard.
Judy had a long career as a hard-working and caring respiratory therapist. She was a devoted communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Parish in Ludlow. Her greatest joy in life was time spent as “Grandma Judy” to her beloved great-grandchildren by whom she will be truly missed.
Judy is survived by her children Rebecca DeMatos and her husband Albert, Michael Bennett and his wife Tara and Eric Bennett and his loving companion Megan Welsh. She leaves to become a guarding angel to watch over her 5 beloved grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Judy’s sisterly bond with Kathy Lococo will be greatly missed as well as her friendship with Josephine Brennan.
Judy’s family would like to thank the staff of Beacon Hospice and the Sister Caritas Cancer Center at Mercy Hospital for the compassionate care they gave to Judy.
