Joshua Martin Simmons Nichols, “Kasper”, 38, of New Britain, CT, passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of Sunday, March 10, 2019. Son of Doreen G. Nichols and predeceased by his father David Martin Simmons, he is also survived by his stepfather Samuel A. Acevedo. Joshua was born in Springfield on October 10, 1980. He was proud to work as a maintenance mechanic for MPI of New Britain, CT.
In addition to his mother and stepfather, Joshua is survived by his daughter Alizehya Trinity Nichols of Chicopee, his brother Samuel Acevedo-Nichols of Ludlow, his sister Lelani Acevedo of East Springfield, his uncle David Nichols, aunts Linda Nichols, Robyn Willett and Melanie Carden, his girlfriend Krissy Rock of New Britain CT, as well as many extended family members and friends.
Joshua had a natural artistic ability and a great sense of humor. Joshua was never happier than when he was with his daughter Ali. His love for her was EPIC and will last to INFINITY.
Celebration of Life services for Joshua will be held Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 12:30 PM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be from 11:00 AM-until the time of the service.
I miss you Josharoni. There are so many things I wish I could be sharing with you right now. You are missed by so many and the love never goes away. I will love you until I get to see you again.

I’m sorry to read of your recent loss especially of someone so young. We are never truly prepared for such a loss as this. Even though your grief is inconsolable and the comforting words of others may seem inadequate I hope that in time you will be consoled by your fond memories of Joshua and in God’s sure promise to bring him back to live on a beautiful paradise earth where sickness, pain, and death will be no more. Visiting hours at the funeral home will precede the service from 11:00 AM- 12:30 PM.
Celebration of Life Services for Joshua will be held Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 12:30 PM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family
