Jon-Michael Leary, 43, of Springfield died Sunday, October 5, 2014 after a long illness. He was born in Holyoke Hospital on September 16, 1971. He was the son of Leo F. Leary and Marilyn L. Flynn. He attended Cathedral High School and graduated from East Longmeadow High School.
He was employed for many years at the Student Prince/Fort leaving to co-own and manage the Hop Brook Tavern in Simsbury, CT. Jon-Michael was also the finance manager for several area car dealerships. Most recently he was employed at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home. Jon-Michael was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed playing golf
He is survived by his parents, Leo F. Leary and his wife Debi Zukowski and Marilyn L. Flynn and her husband John, all of Springfield; his wife Amber(Meade)Leary and their three children Hannah, Madison and Gabriella Leary all of Hampden. He also leaves two sons, Jon-Michael Leary II and Alexander Leary; and one daughter Marissa Leary, all of Palmer. Jon-Michael leaves his sister Catherine Leas and his beloved nephew Brendan Maymon both of Springfield and his granddaughter Madeline.
Family and friends may gather for Jon-Michaels Funeral Service Friday, October 10, 2014 at 9:00 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall Street, Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Christ the King Church, Warsaw Avenue, Ludlow, MA. Rites of Committal will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery.
