I am shocked and saddened to hear of Jolenes passing. We were friends since 2nd grade. Many of my favorite childhood memories were of us spending time and riding horses together. My thoughts and love to Shiela and Joel.

I met Jolene at Stonybrook. It didn’t take long before we figured out that we each had each other’s fathers as teachers. We gradually found out that other coworkers of ours had them as well. I told her that I loved her Dad’s class “Current Events” at the Jr High. My Dad would help me pick out an article from The Republican newspaper and each student would discuss their chosen article. I told her he looked like a Portuguese Elvis as he was so handsome. Then take into consideration the Dias family history in Ludlow. I knew many of her cousins. I had 2 surgeries and had to be out of work for a significant amount of time. I was told how Jolene often asked how I was doing and when I was returning. Upon my return she gave me a very meaningful gift. To my dear Jolene, you left us MUCH too soon. I wish you peace with your son and family.
