Obituary

Jean M. (Jakobczyk) Wojtowicz 95 of Beach Boulevard Stanton, CA died Thursday February 10, 2011 in the comfort of her home. Born in Wilbraham, MA March 29, 1915 daughter of the late Joseph & Mary (Przybycien) Jakobczyk. Jean had been a Communicant of Immaculate Conception Church of Indian Orchard, and had worked for the Springfield Armory and had later worked for the Buxton Company of Agawam. She was the widow of Mitchell J. Wojtowicz who died in 2006. She is survived by her daughter Shirley A. Upchurch of Richardson, TX her grandchildren Joely Gomez and her husband Eddie of Long Beach, CA and Michael Upchurch and his wife Yuliana of Richardson, TX Great-grandchildren Acacia, Joseph, Rosalie, Dayanara, and Michael. Also survived by extended family members. She was the last surviving child of Joseph and Mary Jakobczyk.

Service Information

Funeral services celebrating her life will be Friday April 1, 2011 with family and friends gathering at 10 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow followed by an 11 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church Parker St. Indian Orchard. Rites of Committal will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
