Jasper Harrica 87 died peacefully Friday, April 25, 2014. The son of the late Stanley and Lena (Walls) Harrica, he was born in Ludlow, MA on April 1, 1927.
Jasper proudly served his country during World War II as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. He was again called to duty during the Korean Conflict where here served as a member of the United States Navy. He returned to Ludlow and worked for many years as a machine operator for Titeflex Corp. Jasper was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. He was a member of the VFW of Ludlow.
Jasper is survived by his wife of 57 years Joan (Wapner) Harrica; two sons Alan D. Harrica and his wife Kathy (Haluch) and Rick W. Harrica both of Ludlow; his brother George Harrica and sister Elsie Sassi of Ludlow. He is also leaves 1 granddaughter, Melissa Harrica and his great-grandson Michael Raucci III . Jasper also leaves many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services celebrating Jaspers life will held on be Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 9:00 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall Street, Ludlow, MA followed by burial at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam at 11:00 AM.
