Jane (Morrissey) Charpentier, 95, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024. Born in Springfield on March 24, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Eleanor (Donnelly) Morrissey. Jane was a 1947 graduate of Cathedral High School and went on to work at Dow Jones/Wall Street Journal for many years. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Parish in Ludlow.
Jane is survived by her children Robert Charpentier Jr and Roger Charpentier (Debra) both of Ludlow; Stephen Charpentier (Elizabeth) of Springfield and Ellen Garrow (Frank) of Chicopee. She also leaves her 6 grandchildren Robbie, Peter, Ryan, Erin, Christina and Matthew and 2 great-grandsons Oliver and Benjamin. Sadly, she was predeceased by her husband Robert Charpentier Sr. in 1998 and her son Thomas Charpentier in 2005.
Visiting hours for Jane will be Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 54 Sewall St., Ludlow. MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 in St. Elizabeth’s Parish, Hubbard St., Ludlow, MA. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, State St, Springfield, MA. Donations in Jane’s memory may be made to Special Olympics Massachusetts, 512 Forest St, Marlborough, MA 01752 or www.specialolympicsma.org.

Jim and I are so very sorry for your loss. During her very long life, Jane must have endured both bad and good times. She must have shared some very interesting stories with others over the years. It is always difficult to lose a Mom/Grandmother who has been here for a very long time. But you will always have those memories to carry in your hearts and cherish forever.
