Obituary

Jamie Lynn LaBier, Mamas, 10 of Springfield, MA earned her Angel Wings on April 13, 2014. Jamie was born in Springfield, MA on July 9, 2003 to Vicki Melbourne of Springfield and Glenn LaBier of Chicopee.

Though Jamies life would seem too short to many, those who were touched by her presence understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time which one lives. Her charismatic smile could melt the hearts of those around her and though she never spoke a word, her voice and thoughts could always be heard. Jamie possessed strength, perseverance and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. With her smile she leads us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. Jamie enjoyed bowling and doing arts and crafts with her sisters. She enjoyed listening to music, could spend hours on a swing, bowling, reading, fishing, horseback riding and shooting a bow and arrow. Jamie loved swimming and her favorite moment was getting to touch a dolphin.

With Jamies passing we are reminded that life is to be celebrated. Jamie has touched the hearts of many with just a simple smile. Although we will miss her everyday she will be forever in our hearts.

Jamie is survived by her mother and father, her sister Victoria LaBier, her stepfather Scott Grosse, half-sisters Mia Melbourne-Grosse, Bailey Melbourne-Gross, Abigail LaBier and Serena LaBier, her grandparents James(Papa) and Doris(Memere) Melbourne, her uncle Scott Melbourne, aunt Katie Melbourne.
