Irene Squarok 1931 – 2007 LUDLOW – Irene (Jones) Squarok 76 of Briarwood Lane Ludlow died Thursday December 13, 2007 in a Hampden nursing home. She was stricken with Alzheimer’s many years ago and has suffered the long good bye and is now at peace. Irene was born in Liverpool, England October 8, 1931. She met John C. Squarok while he was in England, and on March 24, 1951 were married. Irene was a faithful Communicant of Christ the King Church and was active at it’s Adoration Chapel. She worked for the United States Government for over 30 years as a Personal Management Specialist, at Westover Air Force base and later with the United States Department of Agriculture in Amherst. She was a member of the Trans-Atlantic British Wives, was and avid reader, a lover of Cape Cod, love to travel especially cruises, loved fine music and dancing, and will long be remembered for her love of cooking. She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years John C. Squarok, her loving children John Squarok of Orlando, FL and Linda Tallman of South Hadley, MA, Cherished grandmother of Erin Tallman of Boston, MA Christopher Tallman of Tampa, FL, and Aisling Tallman of Madison, WI.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be Friday December 21, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Christ the King Church 41 Warsaw Ave. Ludlow at 11 AM. Rites of Committal will follow in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery of Agawam.
