Helen A. (Birrell) Andersen

Helen A. (Birrell) Griffin Andersen, 92, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 21, 2016. Born in Ludlow, MA, June 12, 1924, she was the daughter of the late James and Helen (Duffus) Birrell. Helen was a graduate of Ludlow High School class of 1942. She was a member of Union Church of Christ in Ludlow, the Order of the Eastern Star, the Present Day Club, the Ladies Auxiliaries to The Order of Scottish Clans. She was also a member of her local church and many organisations in her second home of Lake Wales Florida as a snowbird.

Helen is survived by her son Andrew Griffin and his wife Jacqueline of Towson, MD and her daughter Beth Brown and her partner Iain Boag of Ayr, Scotland. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Jaimison and Daniel Griffin, and her close family of nieces and nephews. Sadly she was predeceased by her husband James Griffin and her husband Norman Andersen, as well as her two sisters Edna Kalita and Marion Birrell both of Ludlow.
