Germaine M. (Bedard) Thibault

Germaine M. (Bedard) Thibault, 90 of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 1, 2024. Born October 19 1934 in Holyoke, MA, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Alice Bedard. Germaine was a graduate of Precious Blood High School and worked for 10 years as a billing clerk for the Winfield Hat Shop. She later worked at and managed McDonalds for 20 years. Germaine grew up in Holyoke and lived in Chicopee for many years before moving to Ludlow. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Parish in Ludlow. Germaine was a talented seamstress who enjoyed making quilts for family and friends over the years. She also had a strong fondness for elephants.

Germaine is survived by her husband Albert Thibault with whom she celebrated 70 years of marriage on October 16th; her son Michael Thibault and his wife Robbin and her granddaughter Tricia Thibault, all of Ludlow. She also leaves her sister Lillian Corso of Ft, Myers, FL.

Funeral services for Germaine will be Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish, Hubbard St., Ludlow, MA. Burial will be in Precious Blood Cemetery, Willimansett St., South Hadley, MA. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday November 6, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 PM.
