Francis 'Frank' R. Nedeau

Francis R. Frank Nedeau 95, formerly of Tower Rd. Ludlow, MA a member of the Greatest Generation died Sunday February 27, 2011 in a Wilbraham nursing home. Born in Ludlow, MA June 12, 1915 son of the late Frederick and Mae (Miller) Nedeau. Educated in local schools Frank proudly served his country during World War II serving in the Army of the United States. He long time employee of Williams Distributing he retired as their Fleet Supervisor. A lifelong resident of Ludlow, he was active in town government.He was a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, and had been a candidate for Selectman. He was a member of the Polish American Citizen’s Club, the Springfield Yacht and Canoe Club, and was the Rear Commodore at the Chester, CT Yacht Basin. He was the husband of the late Ann C. (Lis) Nedeau who died February 16, 2011. He is survived by his sons, Carl Nedeau and his wife Patricia of Cummaquid, MA and Ken Nedeau and his wife Sandra of Ormand Beach, FL. Cherished grandfather of 9, Great Grandfather of 8. Brother of Grace Rescia of Ludlow and Alice Mullarkey of Plover, WI. Sadly he was predeceased by sisters Theresa Rooney, Claire Martin, and Helen Kaufman, and brothers Robert Nedeau and Frederick Nedeau Jr. killed in action during World War II. Also survived by extended family members and friends.
