Obituary

Eunice W. (White) Nelson 98 lovingly known as Junie to her family and friends died Saturday June 29, 2013 in a South Hadley nursing home. Born in Ludlow, MA February 11, 1915 daughter of the late Samuel & Rachel (Frost) White. Educated in local schools, she was a life long member of the First Church in Ludlow, active on many church committees, and serving as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was the widow of William H. Nelson who died November 21, 2004. Together they shared 66 years of marriage. She is survived by her loving family, daughter Mary Ellen Hudyka of Ludlow, sons William J. Nelson and his longtime companion Christina Torrisi of Palm Coast, FL and James Nelson and his wife Marion of Belchertown. Sister of Charlotte Bowles of Ludlow. Cherished grandmother of 14, Great grandmother of 7. Also survived by extended family members and friends. The family would like to acknowledge the loving care given to Junie in her last few years, by family and friends, with special thanks to Karen, Becky, Samantha, and Catherine Okarh and then entire hospice staff.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be Wednesday July 3, 2013 at 10 AM at the First Church in Ludlow 859 Center St. Ludlow, MA rites of committal will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery.

So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. As I remember her, she always had a smile and such a sweet hello there. My Mom lived to be 98 as well and am so thankful she died in her own bed. God Bless u one and all at this time, will keep u all in my prayers. Sincerely, Linda Jo Sanford Gershowitz
