Elzear Pilon

Elzear “Pete” Pilon Jr. 81, of Ludlow, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021.  Born December 6, 1939 in Springfield, he was the son of the late Elzear and Hermina (LaPalme) Pilon.  Educated in Springfield schools, Pete worked as a contractor in the area for many years. Pete was known for his kind heart, booming laugh and quick wit. He treated everyone he met as a friend. He will be dearly missed.

Elzear is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Evelyn (Dvorchak) Pilon of Ludlow; two daughters Cheryl Podgorski and her husband Phillip of Southwick and Debra Sood and her husband Sanjay of Warrington, PA.  He also leaves his beloved grandsons Nicholas Podgorski, Brandon Sood and Justin Sood. In addition to his parents, Elzear was predeceased by his brothers Bernard, Richard and Robert Pilon and his sister Rita Klaus. He leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

All services are private with burial at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ludlow Senior Center, 37 Chestnut St., Ludlow, MA 01056.
