Eliano L. Soares, 90, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2020. Born in The Azores on April 3, 1930, he was the son of the late Ramiro and Laurina (Leal ) Soares. Eliano worked at Bay State Refinery from 1969 until its closing and then at Milton Bradley. He was a member of the Gremio Lusitano Club and a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
Eliano is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years Maria (Lima) Soares of Ludlow; his sons Eliano Soares and his wife Michele of Palmer and Ramiro Soares and his wife Karen of Ludlow. He also leaves his 3 beloved grandchildren Natalie, Alexander and Lucas.
Family and friends are invited to gather for Eliano’s funeral Mass on Friday, October 30, 2020 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday, October 30, 2020 from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA. Masks, social distancing and all state gathering restrictions will be adhered to. Should family and friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Springfield Rescue Mission, 10 Mill St., Springfield, MA 01108.
