Edward W. Mozar, 78, of Ludlow passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 27, 2017. He was born September 6, 1938 in Cambridge, MA. Edward proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. Talented with all things mechanical, he worked as the head of the Maintenance Dept at American International College for many years.
Edward was an avid golfer and member of Ludlow Country Club for many years, winning several Four Ball tournaments. Edward loved to cook for family and friends and especially enjoyed cooking special holiday meals for those he loved. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Mary Ellen (Lafond) Mozar of Ludlow; two sons John M. Mozar and Edward R. Mozar, both of Springfield, his step-children Joe Arsenault of Monson, Karen Arsenault and Lisa Lopes and her husband Robert, both of Wales. Sadly he was predeceased by his sister Ruth Pierce.
Edward’s family would like to thank Baystate VNA and Hospice, the staff at Heritage Hall South and Griswold Services for the wonderful care they provided to Edward.
Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
Services celebrating Edward’s life, with Military Honors, will be Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11:30 AM at Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St. Ludlow, MA.
Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family.
