Edmund J. Tate

Edmund J. Tate 1915-2007 AGAWAM – Edmund J. Tate, 92 years old, formerly of Longmeadow and Agawam entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family on December 21, 2007. He was predeceased by his parents William J. and Maude (Frawley) Tate, his sister, Mary E. Mahoney, his brother Robert J. Tate both of Springfield and his nephew John J. Jack Mahoney of E. Otis. Born and educated in Springfield, Edmund was a 1934 graduate of Cathedral High School. He was the founder and former owner of Accurate Accounting Service of Springfield for 34 years, retiring in 1989. He was an Enrolled Agent of the Internal Revenue Service. Edmund was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Longmeadow and Sacred Heart Church, Springfield. He leaves his wife of 48 years Helen (Kelleher) Tate, his beloved children, Michael E. Tate and his wife Ruth of Belchertown, Kathleen T. Agin of Ludlow and David B. Tate and his companion Joan O’Neil of Agawam and his beloved grandchildren Christopher M. Tate and Robert E. Agin. He also leaves his beloved nieces, his bonus children Mary T. Severino and her husband Decio of Springfield, Anne E. Ladizki of Enfield and Helen A. Drost and her husband Paul of Longmeadow and their children and grandchildren.
