Obituary

Edmund J. Kusmierczak, 72, of Indian Orchard, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, after a long illness. Born in Heilbronn, Germany on September 16, 1947, he was the son of the late Stanislaus and Bronislawa (Banas) Kusmierczak.  Edmund immigrated to the U.S. at the age of eight and was a graduate of the former Springfield Trade High School and STCC.  He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the U.S Army.  He went on to work as a machinist at American Bosch for many years.

Edmund is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Maureen (Reilly) Kusmierczak; his son Richard Kusmierczak, both of Indian Orchard and his sister Waleria Lachniski and her partner Zdzislaw Kowalski of Wolcott, CT. He also leaves his 2 beloved grandchildren Aiden and Emily; his sister-in-law Eileen Ashwell and her husband William of Springfield as well as many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Edmund was predeceased by his infant daughter and his brother Jan Kusmierczak.

Ed you will always be missed, many times you were the biggest light in the family. You were a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and bother for all of us and made us laugh and smile even when you didn't intend to. By safe in gods arm till we all meet again.
