DOROTHY E. BELISLE
LUDLOW- Dorothy E. (Abair) Labrecque Belisle 86 of Ludlow died Thursday February 27, 2014 in a Springfield nursing home. Born in Ludlow June 19, 1927 daughter of the late Oliver and Eva (Beaulieu) Abair. Educated in local schools, she had worked at the Springfield Armory, Westinghouse Company, and the former Mars Department Store in Ludlow. She was a faithful and active Communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church where she was a choir member, and a member and past president of it’s Ladies Guild. She is a Communicant of the Catholic Community of St. Elizabeth, where she was a choir member and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She was also a member of the Thursday Prayer Canacle. Truly Dorothy loved being with her family, and loved to gather them all together. She was the widow of Romeo S. Labrecque, and is survived by her husband Leonard J. Belisle. Her children, Rodney Labrecque and his wife Shirley of Wilbraham, Jay Labrecque and his wife Carol of Waterbury, CT Donald Labrecque and his wife Kathy of Ludlow, and Daniel Belisle of Ludlow, and the late Roger Labrecque. Mother in law of Denise Labrecque of Davenport, IA. Sister of Carol Matott of Belchertown, MA Grandmother of Nicole, Christer, Emilee, Hannah, Rachelle, Richard, Victoria, Timothy, and Jonathan. Great-grandmother of Thomas, Alexzander, Isabell, Zoe, and Sylar. Also survived by extended family members and friends.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be Thursday March 6, 2014 at 8:45 AM from the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial offered by the Catholic Community of St. Elizabeth in St. John the Baptist Church 181 Hubbard St. Ludlow at 10 AM. Msgr. Homer P. Gosselin will preside. Rites of Committal in Hillcrest Park Cemetery will be at a later date.
