Dorothy A. (Tavernier) Derouin

Dorothy A, (Tavernier) Derouin, 75, of Ludlow, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022.  Born in Ludlow on October 17, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Armand and Ann (Chenier) Tavernier.  A graduate of Ludlow High School, she worked as an inspector at Smith and Wesson for many years and later as a bus driver in Ludlow. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Parish and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. Her love of music led her to be a member of the church choirs as well as the Dan Kane Singers for many years. She was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.

Dorothy leaves her husband of 57 years Robert Derouin of Ludlow; two sons Francis Derouin and his wife Mary Ann of Belchertown and Jason Derouin of Ludlow; a brother Sonny Tavernier and two sisters, Marian Coupal and Lorraine Tavernier.  She also leaves her 2 grandchildren Matthew and Jameson Derouin, as well as many extended family members.

Visiting hours for Dorothy will be Monday, June 27, 2022 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish. Burial will be in Island Pond Cemetery following the service.
