Doris Robinson

Doris Robinson, 84, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025. Daughter of the late John and Julia Mae Robinson, she was born in Anderson, SC on January 11, 1941. Doris received her Bachelor’s Degree from UMass/Amherst and her Masters from Springfield College. She went on to teach at the elementary level in the Springfield Public Schools as well as Albany, NY Public Schools before retiring in 2003. She was a member of St. Michael’s Cathedral in Springfield.

Doris is survived by her daughter Recinda Robinson, her nieces Patsy Peterson and Valerie Clark; her nephews Chris and Ken Lawrence; her brother-in-law Robert Lawrence and her sister-in-law Carolin Robinson; her great nieces Julia Broome and Nadia Lawrence and her great-nephews Camron Lawrence and Dominick Clark .

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Willie, Bennie and Eugene and her sisters Mary and Birdie.

A graveside service for Doris will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2205 at 11:00 AM in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Springfield, MA.
