Doris M. Gulbrandsen

Doris M. (Johnsen) Gulbrandsen, 91, of Ludlow, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021.  Born on Staten Island, NY on January 8, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Anna (Jensen) Johnsen.  A longtime Ludlow resident, Doris worked for many years as a secretary for the Town of Ludlow and was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Wilbraham. She was a proud and loyal member, a Past Matron, of the James W. Hannum Chapter NO.150 Order of the Eastern Star in Ludlow since 1974.  Doris was a talented and avid sewer, and loved spending time with her family.  Doris never missed an opportunity to show her love and generosity at home and in her community.

Doris is survived by her beloved daughter Karen Grimm and her partner Gary Froehlich of Auburn; her beloved son Eric Gulbrandsen and his fiancée Linnea Erhart of Feeding Hills, MA; her 4 cherished grandchildren; Karina DaSilva and husband Greg, Matthew Gulbrandsen and wife Amelia, Trevor Grimm and wife Shannon and Maren Farrell and husband Jon, and 4 great-grandchildren she absolutely adored; Ethan DaSilva, Aurora Grimm, Aksel Gulbrandsen and Freya Gulbrandsen.  Sadly, she was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Gordon Gulbrandsen, her beloved daughter April Robinson and son in law Paul Robinson.

Memorial services will be private, at the convenience of the family.
