Debra J. (Rys) St. Pierre, 63, of Ludlow, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Born in Holyoke, MA on December 31, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Beverly Rys. Debra graduated from Chicopee High School and STCC, going on to work as a precision machinist for several local companies.
Debra is survived by her daughter Linda O’Malley and her partner Americo Freitas; her sisters Darlene Charest and Donna Coulombe and her brother Raymond Rys. She also leaves her beloved grandsons Joel and Sonny Freitas and her grand-dog Hazel. Debra also leaves her life partner Bill O’Connell and her BFF Laurie Dufault, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Debra was predeceased by her beloved sister Deanne Rys, her dog Scooby and her grand-dog Abbi.
Debra enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening, fishing, gambling, watching sports, doing puzzles and hanging out by the pool. Debbie, as her friends called her, will be missed dearly by all who loved her.
Visiting hours for Debra will be Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall Street, Ludlow, MA. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family. Donations in Debra’s memory may be made to the Ludlow CARES Coalition Inc, P.O. Box 415, Ludlow, MA.
