Davis Bruce Bolton 97 of Chicopee, died peacefully February 8, 2013 in the care and comfort of his home. Born in Springfield, MA April 15, 1915 son of the late Charles and Annie (Davis) Bolton. Educated in local schools, he lived in Springfield most of his life before moving to East Longmeadow in 1952. Davis had worked at Perkins Machine & Gear Company, Package Machine Company, and was a 1980 retiree of Hamilton Standard. A Communicant of St. Michael’s Church East Longmeadow, he was a member of the East Longmeadow Senior Friendship Club’s bridge and pinochle activities. Davis enjoyed bowling, and loved to play shuffleboard with fellow seniors, and was a member of the Forest Park Shuffleboard Club for many years. With out a doubt fishing was his favorite thing to do. He always looked forward to a home cooked meal, with apple pie for dessert. His family wishes to thank the entire staff at the Arbors in Chicopee for their great care and compassion for Davis, as well as the staff at Integra Home Health. Sadly he was predeceased by his wife Simone L. (Normandin) Bolton in May of 2012, and a sister Elva McCalister In February of 2012. He is survived by his sons Reverend Norman B. Bolton of Ludlow, and Alan Bolton and his wife Anita of Hampden. Also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be Tuesday February 19, 2013 at 10:30 AM from the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow followed by a Concelebrated Liturgy of Christian Burial offered by the Catholic Community of St. Elizabeth in St. John The Baptist Church 182 Hubbard St. at 11 AM. Rites of Committal will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
