David A. Martin, 64, of Ludlow, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017. Son of the late Raymond and Jean (Crockett) Martin, he was born in Springfield on August 4, 1952. David was a 1970 graduate of Cathedral High School. He worked as a quality control inspector and machinist for several local companies, most recently Hoppe Tool in Chicopee. Dave will be fondly remembered for his sarcastic humor, stubborn nature and above all love for his family.
David is survived by his daughters Jennifer Martin of Palmer and Lisa Martin of Ludlow. Sadly, he was predeceased by his daughter Cynthia Martin. He also leaves his brothers Raymond Martin and his wife Jo Ann of Ludlow and Thomas Martin and his wife Elizabeth of Ocean View, DE; his sister Maureen (Isham) Westcott and her husband Don of Vernon, CT and close family friend Ed Murphy of New Jersey. He was predeceased by his brother William Martin and sister Catherine (Martin) Dembroski. Dave’s greatest joy was being Pepere to his 6 beloved grandchildren Aniesha, Anessa, Jemar Jr., Lewis Jr., Aneera and Ben. Dave also leaves his beloved cats Matches and Charcoal as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services celebrating David’s life will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home
64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish, Hubbard ST, Ludlow, MA. Rites of Committal will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Tinkham Road, Springfield, MA. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Oh Dave how I miss you. My big brother, my protector, all through the years. You suffered so much ...and...you fought so hard, but it wasn't meant to be.
