Clarence R. Tetrault, 96, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully Friday, December 29, 2017. Born December 14, 1921 in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield, he was the son of the late Alphonse and Lea (Guyon) Tetrault. Educated in local schools, Clarence proudly served his country during World War II as a member of the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Griggs. He was employed by Chapman Valve for over 40 years. Clarence was a communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Parish. He enjoyed golf, fishing and building birdhouses.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 74 years Gloria (Sorrell) Tetrault of Ludlow, two daughters Elaine Hughes of Ludlow and Patricia Lohse of Seattle, WA; two sisters Lorretta Panaccione of Ludlow and Phyllis Morin of Springfield. Clarence also leaves his 4 grandchildren Danielle, Kathleen, Jess and Erin; 9 great-grandchildren Tyler, Becca, Abbey, Maygan, Emelia, Madison, Ben, Jacob and Blake and his great-great grandchild Finn. Sadly, he was predeceased by his brothers Roy and Arthur Tetrault and his sister Sister Lucille Tetrault.
Clarence’s family would like to thank Dennis Lopata and the staff at Life Care Center of Wilbraham for their care and compassion to Clarence over the past 4 years.
Visiting hours will be Friday, January 5, 2018 from 9:00-10:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA
A Funeral Mass will be Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish, Hubbard St., Ludlow, MA
Rites of Committal with Military Honors will be in Island Pond Cemetery, Center St., Ludlow, MA
In lieu of flowers Clarence’s family requests that donations be made to Life Care Center of Wilbraham, Patient Activity Fund, 2399 Boston Road, Wilbraham, MA 01095 or to St. Elizabeth’s Parish, 181 Hubbard St., Ludlow, MA 01056.
