Christine (Stebbins) Chenier

Christine (Stebbins) Chenier, 89, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Indian Orchard in 1927, she was the daughter of the late Theodore W. Stebbins and Etiennette (Lemieux) Stebbins.  She graduated from Ludlow High School.

She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Parish, where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality.

Christine was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Richard (Dick) Chenier, who died in 1978 and also predeceased by her siblings Theodore Stebbins, Jr., Juliette Stebbins, Lena Chenevert, Rita Rollend, Irene Spafford, and Claire Mayou.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Raymond and his wife, Carol, of South Mills, NC, Richard and his wife, Beth, of Tiverton, RI, Susan Vincent and her husband, Michael, and Jeanne Chapman and her husband, James, both of Belmont, NH.  She leaves three sisters, Alice Rollend of Springfield, Theresa Sideleau of Wilbraham, and Elizabeth McCarthy of East Setauket, NY.  In the blended families of her children she is survived by 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.  She enjoyed reading, line dancing to country music and especially enjoyed being outside in warmer months on her lawn tractor.

Funeral Services for Christine will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 8:45 AM at Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Parish, 181 Hubbard St., Ludlow, MA.  Rites of Committal will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Berkshire Ave, Springfield, MA .  Visiting hours at the funeral home are Friday, June 16, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
