Chester T. Lata, 74, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Born April 24, 1941, he was the son of the late Joseph and Agatha (Dudek) Lata. Chester attended Ludlow High School, Springfield Trade School and Holyoke Community College.
He worked for many years at the American Bosch division of United Technologies as Manufacturing Supervisor in the Diesel division. He was also a business owner specializing in model making and visual aids. He reproduced Corvette and Pontiac parts. His favorite pastimes were buying, restoring and selling antique cars, hunting and fishing.
Chester is survived by his beloved children Brian J. Lata and Lynn Marie Ducharme and her life partner Keith Germain; three grandchildren Alexandra, Jensen and Logan Ducharme all of Ludlow, MA. He also leaves his former wife Marilyn (Wilkes) Lata of Ludlow; and several cousins. In addition to his parents, Chester was predeceased by his cousins Richard and Jean Lata.
