Carol J. (Chartier) DaCosta

Carol J. (Chartier) DaCosta, 79, of Ludlow, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024. Born in Springfield on December 21, 1944, she was the daughter of the late John and Flora (Black) Chartier. Carol was a graduate of the High School of Commerce and worked as a store manager for Bradlees and K-Mart Department stores.

Carol is survived by her children Christine Sutcliffe, Antonio N. DaCosta Jr., John DaCosta, Lisa Madru, Craig DaCosta and Daniel DaCosta. She also leaves her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as several sisters and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Carol was predeceased by her husband Antonio DaCosta Sr. in 1998, her siblings John Ronald, Ralph and Christine Chartier and her close friend and brother-in-law Jose DaCosta.

Visiting hours for Carol will be Monday, August 12, 2024 from 9:00-10:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St. Ludlow, MA. A funeral home service will be held at 10:30 AM followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery.
