Carol A. (Taylor) Maynard, 79 of Palmer, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2025 with her beloved children by her side. Daughter of the late William and Katherine (Thompson) Taylor, she was born in Ludlow on December 5, 1945. A graduate of Cathedral High School, Carol was a child care provider for many years. Carol’s faith and family were most important to her. She was a devout communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Parish. Carol was a very kind, caring, selfless woman to all, especially her children whom she lived for.
Carol is survived by her three children; Christina Qualls (Shawn) of Ludlow, Rebecca Maynard of Palmer and Joshua Maynard of Bondsville; her twin sister Mary Sakowski and her sister Diane Dryjowicz (John). She also leaves her beloved grandchildren Marissa and Mikayla Lozada and Berlin Maynard, as well as her-great-grandchildren Damien, Aria, Christian and Lucian and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by her brother Jack Taylor and his wife Gertrude, her sister Elizabeth Quinn and her husband William and her brother-in-law Robert Sakowski.
Visiting hours for Carol will Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish, Hubbard St., Ludlow, MA. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol’s memory may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104 or www.shrinerschildrens.org.

Mom, There’s so much to say but there wouldn’t be enough room for it all. I miss you so much. I always thanked God everyday for giving me the BEST Mom anyone could ever dream of having.
