Brian Martin Lynch passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, July 2, 2025, with his loving mother and sister by his side. Son of the late Richard Lynch and Jill (Rodimon) Lynch, Brian is survived by his mother; his siblings, Karen and Mark (Crystal); nieces, Ashley Golightly (Will) and Marisa Milos (Justin); his great-niece and nephew, Paighton and Roman; his aunts, Shirley Polenski, Lynn Davis, Barbara Campbell, and the late Ruth Lynch, uncles Steve and Tom Lynch; immediate and extended family including his cousins Mike, Amy, Ciara and Nate, and many others who loved him.
A natural storyteller and people person, Brian remembered everyone with admirable detail. He shared stories from his childhood where he was a Ludlow High School graduate (Class of 1984), moving on to his service in the Navy and the many careers he enjoyed. He often spoke of the friends he made and the laughter, tears, and memories they shared with great fondness. Brian loved his dog Sweetie, the city of Boston, baking, gardening, music, and theater. He was a longtime HIV survivor and community advocate, traveling to support causes close to his heart while his health allowed it. In the time before his passing, Brian was planning a final celebration of life, an act that reflected his strength and tenacious spirit.
A Celebration of Brian’s Life will be held on Friday, July 11th at First Church in Ludlow, with a calling hour at 10 a.m. and a service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to A Positive Place, a local organization within Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton (30 Locust St, Northampton MA 01060; cooleydickinson.org) or Tapestry Health (tapestryhealth.org), in honor of Brian and the causes that meant the most to him.
