Barbara A. Los

WILBRAHAM – Barbara A. Los 66 of Wilbraham, died peacefully Sunday June 29, 2008 at her home. Born in Ludlow, MA December 18, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Frederick T. Red and Helen S. (Fisiak) Los.
Barbara had worked at Mass Mutual for many years in their policy review division, and later worked at the Hampden County House of Corrections, she then worked as an administrative assistant in the Law Offices of William E. Rooney. A faithful communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Indian Orchard , she was active in politics, and was an active worker for many local elected officials. She was a longtime member of the Wilbraham Peach Festival and Parade Committees, was a CCD teacher, and was the 1977 recipient of the Pope Pius Award for her dedication to her parish community, and was also a Dozynki Festival Volunteer. Barbara was also a dedicated advocate for the area Senior Citizens. Undoubtedly Barbara will long be remembered for her dedication to the Wilbraham Fire Department Ambulance, along with her Dad and the late Dr. Peck, they worked tirelessly to restore local ambulance service to the Town of Wilbraham. She is survived by her sister Beverly S. Grondalski and her husband Louis A. of Wilbraham, 2 nephews Danial P. and Brian M. Grondalski, he close friend Maurice Moss Granfield.
