Mike, Mimi, Alison and Bubba, How very sad I am. But yet, so grateful to have had Anne as a life-long friend. From our early youth years, those teen years, our first teaching years at Westover Annex, our travel to Europe, our 2 years teaching with the Dept. of Defense - albeit different countries- our participation in each other's weddings - and more. Miles separated us eventually, but Anne will always be with me. Peter and I send you our loving sympathy. [Ethel (Welch) DeBakker]

Dearest Sands Family, My deepest condolences on the passing of your beloved wife, mother & grandmother. Anne has a lovely spirit. I knew it the first moment I met her...31 years ago she tutored me after the birth of my daughter. She was compassionate and non-judging. I feel proud that I knew her and was able to spend time with her during her short time on this earth. My eyes tear for your loss. Much love during this difficult time.
