Ann L. (Skiba) Wrona, 95, of Ludlow passed away peacefully Saturday, April 25, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Born December 12, 1919 in Chicopee, MA, she was the daughter of the late Tomasz and Julia (Grzanka) Skiba. Ann was a graduate of Chicopee High School. Like so many women of the Greatest Generation, she went work at American Bosch during World War II. She married Edward Wrona in 1948. .
A longtime Ludlow resident, Ann was a devoted communicant of Christ the King Church in Ludlow. She loved flowers, gardening, being outdoors and her Cadillacs. Ann loved cooking and baking, her family especially enjoyed her pies during the holidays
Ann is survived by her son Richard Wrona and his life partner Deborah Gauthier and her granddaughter Allyson Gauthier all of Ludlow. She also leaves her brother Edward (Skip) Skiba and her sister Stephanie Biernat. Sadly she was predeceased by her husband Edward in 1993 and her brothers Max and Ted Skiba.
Services celebrating Anns live will held Friday, May 1, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Christ the King Chruch, Warsaw Ave, Ludlow, MA. Rites of Committal will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Berkshire Ave, Springfield, MA.
