Alice M. Bolow, a lifelong resident of Ludlow, passed away on June 26, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Theodore and Mary R. (Zabek) Workum and the wife of the late Edward J. Bolow, who predeceased her in 1997. She was a communicant of Christ the King Parish and a member of its Ladies Guild. Alice was a graduate of Cathedral High School and retired from the Town of Ludlow after 40 years of service as Assistant Tax Collector. She was also organist, soloist and senior choir director of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church until its closing in 2010.
Alice is survived by her beloved and devoted daughter and son Marlene Victoria Bolow and Jeffrey Bolow, both of Ludlow, along with many close and dear friends.
Visiting hours for Alice will be Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 8:30-10:15 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Christ the King Church, Warsaw Ave, Ludlow, MA. Burial will be in Island Pond Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in Alice’s memory may be made to the Chalice of Salvation, 65 Elliot St., Springfield, MA 01102 or Christ the King Church, 41 Warsaw Ave., Ludlow, MA 01056.
