Alice D. (Brochu) Dominique, 89, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 3, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Elizabeth, NJ on April 14, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Belisle) Brochu. A longtime Ludlow resident, Alice was a communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Parish. An accomplished and talented seamstress, Alice’s greatest joy in life was caring for her husband, family and home. She was especially devoted to her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Alice is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years Francis “Bucky” Dominique of Ludlow, her son Gary Dominique (Ellen); her daughters Gayle Farrell (Dean) and Donna Soja (Garry), all of Ludlow; her brother Richard Brochu (Dawn) of Pottersville, MI and her sisters Evelyn Urban of Auburn, MA and Irene Hurst (Harold) of Apache Junction, AZ. She also leaves her 8 beloved grandchildren Jeff, Jaime, Jeremy, Dan, Krystal, Melissa, Laura and Justin as well as 11 great-grandchildren. Sadly, she was predeceased by her brothers Kenneth and Hank Brochu.
Funeral Services for Alice will be Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Friday, February 7, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 PM. Alice’s family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to support her granddaughter’s battle with cancer, payable to Toni Dominique, 80 Albion St. Medford, MA 02155, please indicate Jaime’s Fight on memo line.
