Alexander J. Czapienski 86 of Ludlow died Friday April 29 in Baystate Medical Center. Born in Chicopee, MA February 26, 1925 son of the late John and Mary (Dubiel) Czapienski. He had worked as a tool & gauge maker for Smith & Wesson Company for many years. An active and faithful Communicant of Christ the King Church, he was a member of it’s Men’s Guild, and was affectionately known as the Dabber Man at Christ the Kings Bingo. He was a collector and Eucharistic Minister. He was Faithful Member of the Perpetual Adoration Chapel Christ the King Church. He was a member of the Ludlow Polish American Citizen’s Club. Alex enjoyed a good game of golf, gardening, and wood working. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years Genevieve A. (Tomczyk) Czapienski. A son Thomas A. Czapienski and his wife Lorraine (Cote) Czapienski, of Ludlow, a grandson Brian T. Czapienski, of Windsor Locks, CT and a sister Irene Dudek of Arizona. Also survived by extended family members and friends. Sadly he was predeceased by siblings Walter, Herman, and Matilda Czapienski, Pauline Greskiewicz, and Rita Orzechowski. Funeral services celebrating his life will be Tuesday May 3 at 9 AM from the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Christ the King Church 41 Warsaw Ave. Ludlow at 10 AM. Rites of Committal will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
