Obituary

Albert L. Picard 71, died peacefully Saturday, May 17, 2014. Born in Springfield, MA on February 5, 1943, he was the son of the late Albert J.and Rita (LaBonte) Picard.

A graduate of Springfield Trade High School, Albert worked as a truck driver for Springfield Plumbing, retiring in 2005. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeths Parish. Albert enjoyed hunting,fishing, hockey and was avid NSACAR fan.

Albert is survived by his wife of 50 years Marilyn (Norris) Picard; his son Robert L. Picard and his wife Karen of Springfield; his daughter Barbara A. Racine and her husband Norman of South Hadley; a brother Norman Picard and his wife Christine of E. Otis; 3 sisters Gloria Ferland and her husband Keith of Plymouth, NH; Theresa Beaudreault and her husband Raymond of GA and Cecilia Breor and her husband David of Chicopee. Albert also leaves his five grandchildren Christopher, Nicollette, Samantha, Matthew and Daniel

Funeral services celebrating Alberts life will be Friday, May 23, 2014 at 8:45 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall Street, Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in the Catholic Community of St. Elizabeth at St. John the Baptist Church, Hubbard St, Ludlow, MA
