Obituary

Adelina G. (Fraga), 72, of Holyoke, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Born in Codessoso Boticas, Portugal on June 21, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Carlos and Carolina (Freitas) Fraga. Adelina worked for many years at Digital Equipment, Signature Engraving, and Mary’s Meadow Mary’s Meadow at Providence Place, retiring in 2021.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years Peter Choquette; her son Renaldojose Choquette De Fraga and her grandson Logan. She also leaves her siblings Arnoldo Fraga, Maria Ferreira (Alcides), Grace Sebastiao (Antonio), Raul Fraga (Maria Jesus), Natalia DeSousa (Antonio), Jose Fraga (Elisabete), Antonio Fraga (Teri), Joao Fraga and Carlos Fraga (Robert) as well as many nieces and nephews.

Adelina was a caring, compassionate and loving person who embraced life with an amazing circle of family and friends, especially her grandson Logan, who knew her lovingly as “Grammy Addy”. In her post-retirement years, she took the greatest joy in being the best grandmother any grandson could ask for. Adelina’s everlasting and unconditional love for everyone close to her assures that she will remain with us in our hearts and spirits forever.
