Obituary

Wanda (Dubiel) Oparowski 91 of Beauchamp Terrace Chicopee, died Monday February 1, 2010 at her home. Born in Easthampton, MA December 17, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Porplava) Dubiel. Proud of her Polish Heritage Wanda loved Polish foods and music, and polka dancing. She was also a life long member of Red Sox Nation, and thrilled to see the Red Sox finally win a World Series. She will long be remembered for her love of family, and was happiest when she was surrounded by all of her loved ones. She was the widow of Anthony P. Oparowski who died in 1959. She is survived by her daughters Alice M. Quirk of Springfield, MA and Diane E. Litwin and her husband Gary of Ludlow, MA a brother Edmund Dubiel of Easthampton, MA. She was the cherished grandmother of Lauren (Quirk) Barrett and her husband George, Kathleen (Quirk) DiCarlo and her husband Bill, Thomas Quirk and his wife Annette and Timothy Quirk and his wife Erin. Loving great-grandmother of Jillian Sipperly, Natalie Quirk, Audrey Quirk, Drew Quirk and Ally Quirk. Also survived by many extended family members and friends, and her special canine friend Beamer.
