Obituary

CHARLESTON, SC – Walter Sonny E. Moore Jr. 67 longtime Ludlow resident, and formerly of Chestnut St. Springfield died Monday September 13 at the Medical University of South Carolina. Born in Ludlow, MA March 8, 1943 he was the son of the late Doris (Meserve) and Walter E. Moore Sr. Educated in local schools, Sonny was a kind and compassionate man often caring, and giving to others. He loved a good game of chess. Walter also had the knack of remembering everyone’s birthdays and sending cards or a small gift. He is survived by his sons and their spouses, Brian Moore and his wife Donna of Agawam, MA and Christopher Moore and his wife Robin of Ludlow, MA Grandfather of Christopher Moore Jr., Jessica Moore, Diana Moore, Brandon Moore, and Kimberly Moore. Great-Grandfather of Alyssa and Nicholas. He is also survived by his former wives Judith (Sarnelli) Bushey, and Laurie Hayden. Brother of Carol Blais of Ludlow, MA and Judy H. Savoy of Virginia. Sadly he was pre-deceased by his sister Beverly McManus. Sonny is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be Monday September 20, 2010 at 10 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow, MA Ries of Committal will follow in Island Pond Cemetery.
