Stephen P. Houle 66 of Ventura St. Ludlow, MA died Sunday October 19, 2008 at Baystate Medical Center of Springfield. Born in Southington, CT April 17, 1942 he was son of the late Philip and Mary (Gaug) Houle. Steve proudly served his country as a TSGT in the United States Air Force ending his distinguished career as a recruiter, and had worked to recruit physicians to join the Air Force. He then worked in the building trades field and supervised several condominium projects on Cape Cod. He later became Building Commissioner for the Town of Ludlow. He also shared his expertise as an educator, teaching the building construction supervisor course. He was a communicant of Christ the King Church and a member of it’s men’s guild. He was also a member of the Ludlow Polish American Citizen’s Club, the Swift Rivers Sportsmen’s Club the B.O.W.M. The Dalton American Legion. Steve also loved to trap shoot, fishing, boating, and antique cars, and loved to walk the trail at Ludlow Reservoir. he is survived by his loving wife Kathleen J. (Lysik)Houle, 2 daughters Pamela A. Houle and Laura E. Carew and her husband John all of Raleigh, NC 3 brothers Philip Houle of Southington, CT James Houle of Lecanto, FL and Richard Houle of Summerfield, FL Grandfather of Paige M., and Heather R. Steve is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be Thursday October 23, 2008 at 9 AM from the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Christ the King Church 41 Warsaw Ave. Ludlow at 10 AM Rites of committal with Military Honors will follow in Island Pond Cemetery.
