Ruth (Crocker) Goewey, 83, of Setterberg Road in Monroe County, TN passed to her rest on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. She was the wife of Herbert D. Goewey who preceded her in death on November 13, 2004. The lived in Springfield, MA for many years, until moving to Tennessee in 1999. Born in Springfield on November 21, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Warren F. and Eleanor Margaret (Rose) Crocker. After graduating from the High School of Commerce in 1951, Ruth worked in office capacities for many years, retiring as Office Manager of Hampden Engineering in East Longmeadow in March, 1999. Ruth was an active and faithful member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church where she taught a Bible class for many years. She is survived by her twin sister Eleanor Braxton as well as several nieces and nephews.
There are no visiting hours.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Springfield, MA.
